THE HOT-WATER JUG MAKER'S MARK OF JOHN H. CONNOR, NEW YORK, 1833-1838; THE SUGAR BASKET MAKER'S MARK OF CROSBY, HUNNEWELL & MORSE, BOSTON, 1861-1863

The hot-water jug baluster, with egg-and-dart foot and rim, with scroll handle, the hinged domed cover with foliate scroll border on a matted gourn, with foliate finial, the front engraved Clapp, marked--6 1/2in. high; the circular sugar basket on four scroll and shell feet, flat-chased at the rim with greek-key on a matted ground, the rim applied with a beaded band, the overhead swing handle with similar bead decoration, the front engraved G.B.B. to C.K.B., marked, also marked with pseudo hallmarks--4 1/2in. diam.
