Baluster, on spreading circular foot, raised on a square pedestal base, with scroll handle, the hinged high domed cover with ball finial, the front engraved with a crest and script initials GC, with a pierced interior strainer, marked--13 3/8in. high

Provenance
The crest is that of Clinton, and the initials are those of George Clinton (1739-1812) first Governor of the State of New York and Vice-President of the United States under ???????????????.
