Shaped oblong, on four paw feet headed by foliate scrolls, joined by an oblong apron with a band of palmettes, the sides chased with flutes below a band of palmettes, the applied rim with foliage and fruit on a matted ground enclosing, on each side, a floral spray, and on each end two fruit cornucopiae joined by a flowerhead to form a handle, the base engraved with inscription R.F. STOCKTON, marked--17in. long
