Shaped faceted oval, the rims bright-cut engraved with bands of foliate sprays and scrolls on a reeded band, enclosing a circular foliate cartouche engraved with monogram NMB on one side and a crest on the other, the hinged flat cover with similar foliate border, the overhead swing handle with feather edge bands enclosing a vacant navette-shaped cartouche, marked--5in. long
