Rectangular shape with scroll engraved border and all over bands of machine engraved decoration, with cartouche to lid engraved with a pair of crossed rifles with bayonets beneath a stringed bugle and scrolled 'GVR' G 'Presented to John Withers by the officers and members of the Geelong Volunteer Rifle Corps to mark their appreciation of his services,' with scroll cast thumbpiece; a Great War Service medal and a Victory medal, presented to Private L.P. Withers, son of the above (3)
