PURDEY, No. 24613/4, cocking-indicators, each gun engraved with scenes of grouse and partridge in naturalistic habitats, the undersides of the action-bodies engraved with the heads of spaniels, the whole surrounded by best foliate-scroll engraving, with much hardening-colour, well-figured stocks, No. 2 a replacement, the Whitworth-steel chopper-lump barrels with sunken game-ribs

Purdey's have kindly confirmed that the guns were completed circa 1932 with game-engraving, as described; their specifications conform to those entered in the maker's books and they appear to have been relatively little used
