A PERSIAN KARD with finely watered single-edged blade (slight pitting) inlaid in gold on both sides at the forte with a bold design of flowerheads and foliage, dated in gold on one side, and with gold-inlaid inscription 'The work of Mohammad Rahim' on the other, and rounded walrus-ivory grip, in leather-covered wooden scabbard with bone ball finial, dated 1222 for 1800 A.D.
