A 13-BORE D.B. PERCUSSION SHOTGUN with twist sighted barrels signed in full on the rib, platinum plugs, foliate scroll engraved tang, signed foliate scroll engraved case-hardened locks, highly figured walnut half-stock, chequered grip and fore-end, foliate scroll engraved steel mounts including trigger-guard and butt-plate, each retaining some original blueing and engraved with dogs and pheasants in landscapes, the former with pineapple finial, vacant silver escutcheon, and original numbered white-metal mounted ramrod: in lined and fitted brass-mounted oak case (minor damage) with trade label and some accessories including a leather pouch containing a bright steel combination tool, an all-metal powder-flask (rust damaged) and a leather shot-flask, both by Hawksley, by Charles Lancaster, 151 New Bond St., London, London proof marks, No. 1625, circa 1844, the barrels numbered 2343 for 1860, the case numbered 3658 for 1862
