A RARE IRISH SILVER-MOUNTED FLINTLOCK SPORTING GUN with lengthened four-stage sighted barrel, rounded lock with raised border (signature removed), later moulded walnut full stock, and full cast and chased silver mounts including dragonesque side-plate with foliate terminals, escutcheon with grotesque mask above and beneath, shaped butt-plate with a scroll on each side of the heel and long waved tang, and later horn-tipped ramrod (in worn condition, fore-end and two ramrod-pipes replaced, trigger-guard tang shortened), by Parsons, Dublin, Dublin silver hallmarks for 1708-9, maker's mark DK for David King
