Echézeaux--Vintage 1995
Côte de Nuit, Cacheaux
"One of the best sources in Burgundy for Echézeaux, Cacheux's is made from vines planted in 1934, 1952, and 1990, which makes the vines, on
average, 36 years old. However, the old-vine intensity of the 1934 and 1952 plantings make up for the youth of the 1990 vineyard, Medium to dark ruby colored, this outstanding 1995 exhibits a mouthwatering nose of smoky bacon intermingled with red and black fruits. The silky-textured palate is packed with fat, chewy, lively wild berries and an extraordinary juniper-smoked bacon component." Pierre-Antoine Rovani, Robert Parker, Wine Buyer's Guide, Fifth Edition
