Lot Essay

Glass plate skeleton clocks have a close relationship with great wheel clocks and were all made during the first quarter of the 19th. century. The present clock was made approximately fifty years on but has still employed the same basic method of construction. The fragile and expensive nature of their construction has meant that these clocks have survived in very few numbers
