The son of Pierre Tiron, F.-G. Tiron entered his mark on 4 August 1747, when he was living in the rue Saint-Louis. From 1749 he was in partnership with his brother Jean-Marie Tiron, until about 1755. He probably retired in 1776 or 1777, and he does not appear in the list of goldsmiths in 1782. A sale of his stock was held on 7 December 1775.
