The American jewellery firm Trabert & Hoeffer was founded in the 1930's by Howard Hoeffer and soon became associated with the French firm Mauboussin.
Together they created one of the most successful lines of jewels of the period, called "Reflection", with the unique innovation of 18K gold settings and the use of the casting technique which allowed to make standard, thus more versatile, pieces of jewellery.
