Joseph-Étienne Blerzy attained the maîtrise on 12 March 1768 while living on the pont au Change, where he remained until 1785. Following the demolition of the houses on the bridge he moved to rue de la Monnaie. He survived the Revolution and is recorded by Douet in 1806 at 3, rue Coq-Saint-Honoré but he had died by 1808 when his widow registered a new mark from the same address.
