Prince Alexander Nikolaevich L'wow (1786 - 1849), son of the famous engraver and architect Prince Nikolas Alexandrovich L'wow. He grew up in an atmosphere of immense wealth strongly influenced by literary and artistical interest. He joined the Russian army in 1814 and became Councellor of State in 1831.
