Lot Essay

This Samovar will be sold with a photocopy of the original drawings of the piece by Georg Jensen and with a letter from the Georg Jensen company, dated August 1987, stating that according to their records this samovar is the only piece with these dimension ever to be made by the workshop. It was a special commission from a patron to complement a tea-set ordered in 1913. It was delivered on 10 December 1930 at a cost price of 1000 Dkr and signed by Georg Jensen himself.
