The hexagonal base resting on six double-paw feet, chased with guilloche and water-leaf rims, the base applied with scrolls, foliage and palmets on matted ground, also applied with royal crowned monogram MH, the salt-stands each on three griffons, the finial shaped as standing woman holding floral branches above her head, the two circular salt-basins detachable - 19.3 x 9 cm, 21.5 cm high

Provenance
The crowned monogram is that of Joachim Murat Napoléon, King of Naples from 1808 till 1815, brother-in-law of Emperor Napoléon 1st.
