A GERMAN PARCEL-GILT TANKARD

On domed circular base chased with pricked and auricular ornaments, the body chased all around with men, women and children in a wooded landscape with a village beyond, the S-scroll handle terminating at the base in a serpent head and with a male bust above, the domed cover and split thumb-piece with continued auricular and pricked ornament and with similar finial surrounded with wirework scrolling foliage.
