A GERMAN GILT EWER AND BASIN

The helmet-shaped ewer on circular domed base engraved with a laurel crown, the lower part of the body applied with a rim of flames, the central part engraved with two medallions with lake scenes surrounded with bunches of fruits, the upper part engraved with a rim of foliage, with scroll handle and helmet-shaped spout - 17.5 cm high
The oval basin with two foliage rims, the centre engraved with a mythological scene depicting Venus sitting on two dolphins, surrounded with two male creatures and two putti and ready to get out of the sea, a third putto flying in the sky and sending an arrow in the direction of the goddess - 35.8 x 25.7 cm
