Gold box shaped as a lengthened quatrefoil, the cover set with an oval enamel depicting a carelessly clad young lady showing a shield to a young warrior wearing armour and a plumed helmet, against a cloudy sky background, the sides of the box engraved with gold scrolls on a dark-blue translucent guilloché ground, the thumbpiece formed by the diamond-set gold initials "JMG" -- 8.3 cm wide, minor damage and repair
