three satirical commentaries on al-Kashshaf with a counter-commentary by an unknown author, Arabic manuscript on paper, 168ff. plus three flyleaves, each with 29ll. of strong dark brown naskh, red circles between phrases, words in or overlined in red, the Qur'anic text written marginally in red naskh, two of the commentaries written marginally in fine black naskh, marginal notes, (negligible smudging, occasional light staining, occasional small repairs), opening folio with gold, red, blue and black illuminated heading and inscription shamsa, following folio with heading in eastern kufic on a ground of scrolling vine, (light wear), final folio with inscription dated AH 721/1321-2 AD, 15th century Ottoman rich brown morocco binding with tooled arabesque medallion and rope-pattern borders (some wear, repaired)
