TWO QAJAR DAMASCENED, PIERCED AND ENGRAVED STEEL SHIELDS, the centre of one with four radiating cusped cartouches containing pierced scrolling vine around pictorial central panels, part similar panels between each, the other shield with a central stellar panel issuing an eight pointed rosette of pierced panels, both shields with four gold damascened bosses, each with a main damascened border of pictorial cartouches depicting hunting scenes, one with scrolling vine panels between and an outer border of inscription and vine alternating panels, the other with inscription dividing panels and an outer continuous vine band, early 19th century (very slight corrosion and loss of damascening)
