St-Omer, circa 1615, maker's mark a rosette
On hexafoil spreading base, the rim chased with gadroons, the central dome chased with sun rays on matted ground rising to the lower, plain knop, the hexagonal shaft centered by a globular knop chased with intertwined bands enclosing six applied oval bosses, each containing an angel's face on spread wings, the plain cup gilt inside, fitted with a detachable sleeve embossed with rays similar to the foot, the circular cover fitted with bayonets and decorated similarly to the foot, rising to a plain stepped dome resting on a vertical band chased with ovolos, the finial in form of a cross - 31cm.
