Geneva, circa 1780, bearing prestige marks imitating the charge of Julien Alaterre, crowned date letter "P" and a rubbed maker's mark

Oval box, the cover, base and sides decorated with panels of engine-turning with scattered pellets, the borders engraved with acanthus on sablé bands, the four side pilasters chased with urns and flowers -- 62 mm wide.
