An officer with short curly dark hair and sideburns, wearing a blue uniform with red-piped and silver-figured high collar and silver belt, decorated with the sash and breast-star of the Royal Prussian Order of the Red Eagle, the cross of the Imperial Russian Order of Saint-Vladimir suspended from the black-edged red ribbon around the neck, and the Imperial Russian medal of the Cross of Ismail attached at his breast; oval -- 64 mm high, gilt-metal frame, the glazed reverse with a hair panel centred by a rectangular plaque inscribed "Souvenir d'un vrai Attache- ment." within an églomisé border.
