Boris Godunov, Opera in four acts, was created by Modest Mussorgsky. It was produced by Sergei Diaghilev for the first Saison Russe at the Théatre National de l'Opéra in Paris on May 19, 1908, with set designs by Aleksandr Benois and Aleksandr Golovin and costume designs by Ivan Bilibin.
