Each circular and on trumpet-shaped foot decorated with a frieze of acanthus-leaf on plain square base with lion's paw and swans' feet, the shaped body with applied cameo-like scenes representating Mercury on one side and Neptune on the other, surrounded by winged sea horses and Bacchic masks within scroll palmettes, above a frieze of beading and beneath a frieze of water-leaf at the lip, the plain slightly domed cover with finial in the shape of Zephyr infant seated on a calyx, marked on base, body and cover - 28.5 cm (11¼ in) high
