Archduchess Henriette-Alexandrine of Habsburg, half-length nearly full-face, the décolleté of her blue dress with long bouffant sleeves adorned with a jewelled gold brooch in the shape of an arrow, the border of her white lawn collar bordered with embroidered frill, her centre-parted brown hair tied in bunches of tight rolls and in a plaited Apollo-knot secured with a black velvet ribbon with gold clasp; gold pendant earrings; rectangular -- 81 x 61 mm, fine Viennese gilt-bronze frame with foliate corners.

Henriette (1797-1829), daughter of Duke Friedrich-Wilhelm of Nassau-Weilburg, was married in 1815 to Archduke Charles, the famous field-marshal. Her husband, 26 years her senior, commissioned for her the construction of the Weilburg at Baden.
