the gilt-finished Lepine calibre movement with cylinder escapement, plain steel three arm balance, ruby endstone, repeating on two gongs, gilt cuvette, silver engine turned dial with polished chapter ring with Roman numerals, polished semi-circular indication for equation of time, apertures for date and month, blued steel hands, the engine turned case with ribbed band, repeating via the push down pendant, dial and cuvette signed- 60mm diam.

Charles Oudin was an "Eleve de Breguet" in Palais Royal No. 52, Paris.
Watches with equation of time are extremely rare. Charles Oudin was a specialist in that field. He invented a special equation mechanism to be set on the Breguet montres de souscription.
