Aquatint frontispiece, 8 plates printed in colours and finished by hand, all by L.-P.Debucourt, the frontispiece and first two plates with signatures, the others avant-lettre. (Small neat repairs to margins of about 6 leaves.) Red morocco, finely decorated in gilt with a design including pointillé work and small blue morocco onlays, blue calf liners finely tooled in gilt, red watered silk doublures, g.e., slip-case, all by Charles de Samblanx. A fine copy of a work illustrated by Louis-Philibert Debucourt (1755-1832), "the supreme master of engravings printed in color": Ray French 88; Cohen-de Ricci 833; Sander 1622.
