This group shows Sikh cavalrymen from the Horse Regiment and Pathans with Lieut. H.C. Mecham and Assistant Surgeon Dr. Thomas Anderson. The Sikh horsemen remained loyal to the British during the Indian Revolt. The title of the photograph refers to William Hodson, the officer who was responsible for murdering the two sons of the king of Delhi, after their surrender.
