(24.1 x 28.6 cm.) and 3 two-part panoramas approximately 6¾ x 18 in. (17.1 x 45.8 cm.). 4 numbered and signed Bourne and 18 signed Penn in the negatives, titled and several dated in ink on mounts, brown leather, g.e., and half green leather.

Sixteen photographs from Ceylon, the remainder mostly in and around Madras, including two relating to the famine, Ootacamund, the Nilgiri Hills, Trichinopoly (Tiruchirapalli), Madurai and Vellore. Good portraits at Government House, some including Lord Buckingham, a group with the Prince of Wales at Bombay (Mumbai), Lord Buckingham's camp at Delhi for the Imperial Assemblage, sitters in fancy dress, ladies on horseback and seven Indian portraits or portrait groups including one with a hunting cheetah. Other subjects include four photographs and two panoramas of Aden, five Andamon Islands views and one view of Rangoon.
