Views include various interior and exterior views of the Taj and the Fort in Agra; the Memorial Tower and Kashmir Gate in Delhi; the Jama Masjid, Bailey Guard Gate, cemetery and Wingfield Park in Lucknow and the Bathing Ghat in Benares. Individual, group, occupational and portrait 'types' include Brahmins, Parsees, Sadhus, a man with his performing monkeys, a water-carrier, barber, fisherwoman, cotton- cleaners, grain-dealers, dhobies (washermen) and weavers. Also including an unusual photograph of a Hindu sacrifice (illus.).
