Autograph manuscript, London, 2 pages, recto and verso, quarto, on "Nems Enterprises Ltd." stationery. Easily one of Harrison's more interesting contributions, "Piggys" was recorded on September 19, 1968, and released on the famous White Album, with some of the other fab four's strongest songs. The album represented not so much a collaborative effort as it was the individual Beatles' most mutually independent production. The songs were largely created in isolation from the others, and then presented for inclusion. Harrison himself was allowed relatively little play and his lyrics are quite rare. "This is not a fair copy but a working draft manuscript with significant divergences from the final form of the song as it appeared on the record. "... in their styes with all their barking they don't care what goes on around in their eyes there's something lacking what they needs a damn good wacking [a line apparently oft expressed by George's mother] It's a pity that the Piggies always deal in Dirt. having played their games for years they've become expert. pressures they exert, from every angle Everywhere there's lots of Piggies, living Piggy lives, you will see them out for dinner with their Piggy wives clutching forks and knives -- to cut their pork chops [he then inserts "bacon"] if you don't get wise you'll find that you may turn into one of them if you've been telling lies to your cat Everywhere there's lots of pigges playing Piggy pranks You can see them on their coffers giving piggy thanks to THEE Pig Brothers."
