In full: "I hope I haven't held you up on the bibliographical thing -- we were on a 10 days cruise and got caught in a storm at Dry Tortugas -- another 10 days wonderful fishing but when I got back my correspondence was hopeless -- I have paid the bills now and yours is the first letter -- use the note of course. Hope I can see you all in Chicago this fall -- I was awfully glad you liked the book -- Am trying to write another one maybe you will like it. Yours always Ernest Hemingway."
