Album of twenty-nine albumen prints, sizes from approx. 4½ x 4 3/8 in. to approx. 13 x 9¾ in., nineteen numbered in pencil on recto, four trimmed oval, five with arched tops, mounted one-per-page (incomplete), each with ink manuscript title in French on mount, brown morocco, monogrammed B. C. with coronet in gilt on front cover, g.e., oblong folio.

Three views of New Caledonia, one of indigenous vegetation and native people, one river scene and a street scene in Nouméa; three Chinese subjects including a Unamite tomb, a Unamite village and native dwellings; seven Javanese portraits including the King, a native chief's daughter, native women and family groups; ten other Javanese photographs including a study of the King's orchestra, river views, banyan trees in the botanical gardens and an Armenian church; a large portrait of an Indian lady with hair ornaments and jewellery from Singapore; a large Singapore street scene; and four Singhalese subjects including a group of chiefs, the botanical gardens and a river scene with a new bridge and elephants drinking near Kandy.
