The Property of the Descendants of the Author EUGÈNE SÜE (Lots 67-68) Eugène Süe (1804-1857), the godchild of Joséphine de Beauharnais, although destined to enter the medical world by his father, became a writer, associating with contemporary authors such as Lamartine, Saint Beuve, Balzac and Dumas. His works, which became widely known at the time, include Mystère de Paris, Les enfants trouvés and Les sept péchés capitaux.
