Lot Essay

A betrothal tapestry of identical design, woven in Tournai circa 1460, was given to the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris by the late Count of Valencia (see: H. Göbel, Tapestries of the Lowlands, New York, 1924, illus. 207)
