A closely related tapestry, depicting a rural picnic with several elegantly dressed figures seated around a low table eating and drinking, with smaller shepherds and farmers in the fore and background, almost certainly forms part of the same series ('Les Fastes de la Tapisserie', Exhibition catalogue, Paris, 1984, pp. 16-17, cat. 3). In particular the almost identical vegetation, the very similar animals and the lady dressed in almost the same robe as the kneeling lady in this tapestry indicate that they almost certainly originated in the same workshop
