The rectangular moulded top with a central Jasper cabochon within a cartouche of brocatello di Spagna with a heart-shaped leaf at either end and with a polychrome palmette on a nero antico background, the outset corners of alabastro fiorito framed by a strapwork border with lapis lazuli and other marble cabochons, on a red brecchia background within a cippolino rosso moulded edge
