A VERY LARGE RUDOLSTADT VOLKSTEDT PORCELAIN GROUP OF DIANA AND THE THREE GRACES, naturalistically painted in colours, Diana with quiver and arrows wearing a gilt flowered dress and a crescent in her hair, with this crescent she transforms herself into Selene, the moongoddess , standing beside a doe on grassy rockwork from which a waterfall arises, the Graces similarly dressed, one stroking an eagle (Jupiter) , another upholding a basket with fruit, the third playing together with a putto beside the waterfall, another putto caresssing a swan (Leda), the oval green grassy mound base applied with flowers, plants and a dove (Diana's bow missing), marked in blue, ca 1900
