A GILT FRENCH PORCELAIN PART COFFEE AND TEA SERVICE, possibly Brussels-decorated, the purplish-blue ground painted with Louis Philippe-style scenes of variously clad couples in amorous pursuits, surrounded by dots and meandering vine tendrills, with dragon-shaped spouts and winged dragon finials, comprising:
- one large coffeepot with cover and scroll handle, 20 cm high
- one teapot with cover and scroll handle, circa 19 cm high
- one milkjug with scroll handl, 16 cm high
- one two-handled sugarbowl with cover, 18 cm high
- one broth bowl, 17.5 cm diam.
- twelve cups and saucers (some gilt fading), circa 1840
