Letterpress section titles, 80 engraved maps only (of 82 called for), 79 double-page, after G.Sanson, N.Sanson, P.du Val, P.Clüver. (Some old dampstaining, marginal in the main, small worm hole affecting lower blank margins.) Contemporary vellum-backed limp boards, uncut (neat repairs to head and foot of spine. Provenance: Bibliotheca Franciscana ad S. Claram Cathari (ink stamps on titles and versos of many maps).
A fine unsophisticated copy. The stamps are numerous but not generally too obtrusive. The missing maps are in part II map 8 Chorographia Terrae Sanctae, and part IV map 8 Pyrrhi Regis Epirotarum Expeditiones.
