When comparing the dates of the sitters and those of the artist,
it is clear that both portraits were painted posthumously. This is also indicated by the inscription on the portrait of Elisabeth de Bruin. It has been suggested by the Stichting Iconographisch Bureau, The Hague, that the portrait of Hendrik Tatum is after an original by Arold Boonen.

From 1726 to 1750 the couple lived on the Herengracht 116 in Amsterdam
