cover 1860 (May) entire from Bordeaux to Mauritius (31.5 arrival c.d.s. on reverse) bearing France 1853 Empire 10c. bistre-brown on yellowish (Type I) and 20c. blue (cut-into at top) both cancelled on arrival in Mauritius by void obliterator in black; address panel slightly ink-etched in places. A charming and most unusual usage of French stamps in Colonial Territory.
