This bowl is an example of the high quality decorative enamel ware produced between 1720 and 1750. The most important works on white grounds with gold decoration and painting arose circa 1720 in the work-shop Fromery in Berlin, from here the production moved to Saxony, and especially to Dresden, most likely under influence of the porcelain painting
