TWO DUTCH DELFT 'SAYINGS' DISHES (spreukenbord), one dated dish painted in colours with two hearts suspended from a bow inscribed Daar is niet Beeter in den Trouw Als Liefde Tussen man En Vrouw and 1815, the border with branches and scrolls, the other dish painted in blue and white with a shaped central medallion surrounded with scrolling foliage inscribed ziet wat hier van Agteren staat, the reverse inscribed Bit Eer gij Aan 't Eeten gaat, the border with further scrolling foliage and wavy rim (rim chips), both circa 1815
