A CERAMIC PITCHER for washing the hands of the Kohanim, painted in white, set on a circular domed fluted base, a baluster body with C-scroll-handle and pronounced spout, decorated on the front with two spread priestly hands, inscribed below in Yiddish Fur nesiat kappayim, inscribed near the handle with the owner's name Nidvat R[av] Ya'akov ha-Levi Levin, probably Holics, Hungary, 18th Century
