A SILVERPLATED MEGILLAT ESTHER CASE, fitted with a floral revolving handle, the cylindrical body engraved with scrolled foliage, inscribed in Latin with the owner's name Daniel Levy, dated 1856, surmounted by a gilt openwork C-scroll finial inset with a yellow stone, containing a Megillah, ink on vellum, 13 lines per column, vellum 8 cm high, column 5.6 cm high, with ring-form thumbpiece, apparently unmarked, probably Italy, circa 1856
