A SILVER SPICETOWER, set on four hemispherical supports, a quatrefoil base with wire-work rim, mounted with scroll-work and eyes inset with small rose-cut diamonds, a cylindrical stem with two ring-form knobs, the hexagonal spice-section mounted with openwork scrolls and flowers, fitted with an openwork hinged door, the catch inset with a sapphire, the roof similarly decorated as the base, also inset with small diamonds, surmounted by a two-tiered cylindrical spire, the first tier pierced with a quatrefoil motif, the upper tier with ring-form knobs, topped by a ball and pennant finial, minor damage, minor repair, apparently unmarked, probably Poland, 19th Century
